Professor Elegant Demeanor

Guang Zhu, Professor
Dr. Zhu is a State-Council Special Allowance Expert, and currently serves as the Vice President of the Chinese Society for Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation, the Vice Chairman of the Teaching Guiding Committee for Geomatics in Higher Education universities and colleges, and the Vice President and General Secretary of the Chinese Society for Construction Education.
Dr. Zhu has completed many national and provincial scientific and educational research projects, and received many awards for his achievements through education and research. He has published many textbooks and monographs, and dozens of scientific research articles.

 

Yanmin Wang, Professor
Dr. Wang is a Ph.D. supervisor in Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, the Director of the Engineering Research Center for Representative Building and Architectural Heritage Database under the Ministry of Education, China, a council member of Chinese Society for Surveying, Mapping and Geo- information and the Vice Chair of its Engineering Surveying Branch, a member of the Chinese National Committee for the International Society of Digital Earth and the Chair of its Laser Scanning Committee, a member of the editorial board of"Bulletin of Surveying" "Journal of Navigation" and Positioning" and "Surveying Engineering".
Dr. Wang is a State-Council Special Allowance Expert, Beijing Science and Technology Management Talents with outstanding contribution, and Beijing Master Teacher. He is mainly interested in laser scanning, photogrammetry, refined 3D measurement and modeling, spatial database management, digital protection of ancient architecture, and precision engineering surveying.

 

Xian Zhao, Professor
Dr. Zhao is an academic leader in photogrammetry, member of the Chinese Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing and member of the editorial board of "Geotechnical Investigation & Surveying. He is the leader of an innovation group on applications of photogrammetry and remote sensing technologies.
Dr. Zhao has finished many national and provincial scientific research projects and has received many awards. His current research interests include photogrammetry and remote sensing, computer vision and smart image computing, etc.

 

Mingyi Du, Professor
Dr. Du is a Ph.D. Supervisor, the Dean of School of Geomatics and Urban Spatial Informatics, member of the Academic Committee of BUCEA, Vice Chairman of the Engineering Surveying Branch of the Chinese Society for Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation, member of China Education Committee, Vice President of Beijing Society for Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation, Chairman of the Beijing Education Committee, and member of the Beijing Society for Smart Transportation.
Dr. Du was selected as Beijing Young Cadre Teacher in 2006,and Beijing Top-notch Innovative Personnel in 2009, and received the Science and Technology Contribution Award from the Chinese Society for Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation in 2011. He is interested in refined urban operation management, Internet of Things technologies and applications, urban emergency management, and urban remote sensing and so forth.

 

Jiting Zou, Professor
Dr. Zou is currently the Director of BUCEA library. He is a council member of GNSS and LBS Association of China, member of the Chinese Society for Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation, member of the Beijing Society for Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation, and member of the editorial board of Beijing Surveying and Mapping.
Dr. Zou has finished many scientific projects and received many awards. He was selected as Beijing Young Cadre Teacher in 1998 and Beijing Young and Middle-aged Cadre Teacher in 2005. He is interested in engineering deformation monitoring and data processing.

 

Liang Huo, Professor
Dr. Huo is the Associate Dean of School of Geomatics and Urban Spatial Informatics, a member of the China Association of Geographic Information Industry, and a member of Government Information Working Committee. He is an expert of spatial information system software testing and evaluation under the Ministry of Science and Technology, a member of the Youth Committee of the Beijing Society for Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation, and a member of Beijing Academic Promotion Committee.
Dr. Huo was selected as Beijing Young Cadre Teacher and has won many awards such as Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award and awards from ESRI software development contest and MapWorld development competition.

 

Dean Luo, Professor
Dr. Luo is a member of the Satellite Navigation and Positioning Education Committee and member of Beijing Geodesy Committee.
Dr. Luo's area of teaching and scientific research is in surveying engineering and remote sensing applications. He has completed many scientific research projects and made many achievements in digital protection and health monitoring of the ancient architecture and grottos. He has received many awards in scientific research and teaching. Currently, Dr. Luo focuses on theory of 3D laser scanning and applications, as well as theory and methods for rapid construction of virtual urban environment.

 

Xiuzhong Chen, Professor
Dr. Chen is the Vice Chairman of the Steering Committee of Students Training in BUCEA and the Chairman of the Steering Committee of Students Training in School of Geomatics and Urban Spatial Informatics, BUCEA. He is a member of the Chinese Society for Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation and Beijing Society for Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation.
Dr. Chen is responsible for the development of geomatics engineering program which is a Beijing Specialty Program and the development of engineering surveying course which is an top-quality course of Beijing. He has finished many scientific projects and is currently interested in precision surveying and urban surveying.

 

Ruoming Shi, Professor
Dr.Shi is a member of the Geoscience Information Expert Group of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology.
Dr.Shi received the China Architectural Science and Technology Progress Award in 2007,the Teaching Achievement Award of the Chinese Society for Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation, and many other scientific awards. He is currently interested in protection of historical cities by 3S technology, ancient architecture digitizing by BIM technology and 3D printing technology.

 

Miaole Hou, Professor
Dr Hou is currently the Vice Director of Human Resources in BUCEA and the leader of the Institute of Digital Architecture Heritage. She is a member of the Beijing Society for Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation, a member of CIPA-ICOMOS-ISPRS, and reviewers for NSFC, Journal of Wuhan University and Acta Geodaetica et Cartographica Sinica.
Dr. Hou was selected by the Beijing New Science and Technology Talents Training Program in 2008, Beijing Talented Person Training Program in 2010 and Beijing Young Top-notch Talent Training Program in 2012. Her research interest lies in 3D information extraction and virtual restoration of cultural relics.

 

Ming Huang, Professor
Dr. Huang is the Deputy Director of the GIS program in School of Geomatics and Urban Spatial Informatics, the leader of the Institute of Digital Architecture Heritage, a member of the China Association of Geographic Information Industry, a member of GIS Theory and Method Committee, the Secretary of the Engineering Research Center for Representative Building and Architectural Heritage Database.
Dr. Huang has received 2 provincial-level awards, published 3 academic books, and more than 30 SCI or EI indexed papers, and produced 4 patents on invention and 3 authorized patents. He is interested in 3D laser scanning data processing and architecture re-construction focusing on the software development, demonstration and application of 3D laser scanning data.

 

Jian Wang, Professor
Dr. Wang is a Ph.D. supervisor in BUCEA. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 2008 and was a visitor scholar in the University of Nottingham, UK from 2014 to 2015. He is the team leader of IAG4.2.2, Vice Chairman of the fifth Council of Education Development under GNSS and LBS Association of China, a member of CPGPS and member of the Geodesy Division of the Chinese Society of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation.
Dr. Wang is the winner of the Ministry of Educations New Century Excellent Talents Supporting Plan in 2013, and the Yong Teacher Award by the Huo Ying Dong Education Foundation. He has completed more than 20 National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program), the National Key Technology Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, received the second place award of the national teaching achievements, and 5 local scientific awards. Dr. Wang is currently focusing his interest in navigation and positioning technology, emergency positioning and service and architecture health monitoring and diagnosis.
